Chad B. Hyman, a certified industrial hygienist and certified safety professional, has demonstrated exceptional leadership in his role as the Chief Executive Officer of SRP Environmental. In 2008, after gaining valuable operational knowledge working in the oil and gas industry, Mr. Hyman changed from performing operational tasks to providing health, safety, and environmental support for companies throughout various industries as a Project Manager for SRP Environmental. In 2013, he accepted a role as the Staff HSE Coordinator and Industrial Hygiene Manager for Southwestern Energy, in which he focused the next four years of his time directly supporting the oil and gas industry. Upon rejoining SRP Environmental in 2017, Mr. Hyman advanced through roles of increasing responsibility, beginning as the director of operations and rising to the position of chief operating officer in 2020. Utilizing his technical capabilities and proven leadership to foster professional growth and education opportunities amongst his team, Mr. Hyman accepted the role of chief executive officer in 2022.
Mr. Hyman has made significant contributions both professionally within his field of expertise as well as personally within his community. More notably, he co-authored “Working Together to Prevent Worker Exposures during Gauging”, which was published by the Society of Petroleum Engineers in 2017. Since 2016, he has been an active member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association and currently serves on the advisory boards for the National Occupational Research Agenda-Oil and Gas Division as well as the Odessa College. Furthermore, he previously led a nonprofit organization that focused on delivering motivational messages and raising awareness about social issues such as bullying, drug usage, and suicide prevention. These impactful messages reverberated across borders, reaching schools, prisons, and communities on an international scale.
Motivated by parents who instilled in him a strong work ethic, Mr. Hyman initially pursued a career in physical therapy during his undergraduate studies. He obtained a bachelor’s degree focused on kinesiology and exercise science from Southern Arkansas University in 2009. At that time, his wife, Susan, was working as an accountant and office manager at SRP Environmental. Recognizing the company’s potential within the oil and gas industry, the Founder and CEO at that time saw an opportunity to leverage Mr. Hyman’s skills while providing him with valuable knowledge of the services SRP offered. This opportunity led Mr. Hyman to develop a passion for industrial hygiene, which set him on the path of obtaining a master’s degree in industrial hygiene from Montana Technological University in 2017. Moreover, Mr. Hyman has been certified as an industrial hygienist by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene and the Board for Global EHS Credentialing, as well as having been certified as a safety professional by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
